Speed limits across the Marlborough region are set to reduce, with much of State Highway 6 speed limits scheduled to be slashed. Most of Blenheim's and Picton's town centre speeds are set to decrease from 50kmh to 30kmh with stretches of State Highway 6 being assigned lower speed limits.

A spokesperson for Marlborough Lines told Neighbourly that power has been restored to most of central Blenheim and that they are still attempting to establish the cause of the fault.

Line crews are on the ground trying to establish the cause of a power outage affecting most of central Blenheim.
The outage happened shortly before 10am on Thursday.
If Blenheim residents have any information regarding the outages, they are encouraged to get in contact with Marlborough Lines to assist with locating the cause of the fault or hazards on the network.
