The PICKERS
🌱 The Tale of the Runaway Pumpkin 🎃 - A story shared with us.
Last year, I planted a single pumpkin seed, expecting a modest little vine. But nature had other plans. That tiny seed took off like a rocket, sprawling across the garden, climbing fences, and even sneaking into the neighbor’s yard.
By autumn, it had claimed half the garden, and the pumpkins—oh, the pumpkins!—hid under leaves like golden treasures. Some grew perfectly round, others twisted into odd, charming shapes.
When harvest time came, I had more than I knew what to do with. So I shared. Soup for friends, roasted seeds for snacks, and surprise doorstep deliveries for neighbours. One seed, one plant, but a whole season of abundance and connection.
Gardening always surprises me. What started as a simple planting turned into a reminder—nature gives generously, and so should we. 💚
