Changes to kerbside collections this Christmas

This year Christmas falls on a Tuesday, which means our collection schedule is affected. For the week of December 24-28, below shows what day your rubbish and recycling will be collected. Rubbish and recycling collection days remain as normal for January 1 and 2.

Ohakune, Rangataua and Raetihi
Collection every Monday as per normal.
Waiouru
The 25th Collection will be on the 22nd and the 1st of Jan will be on the 29th Dec.
Taumarunui, Piriaka, Mahoe and Kakahi
Collection will be on Friday the 28 December and Friday the 4 January over the Christmas/New Year period. Will revert back to every Thursday as per normal after this.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
