Rotorua Roaring Knights Chess Club
Hello everyone
The Rotorua Roaring Knights is a new chess club in Rotorua, New Zealand. Chess enthusiasts from all ages and levels in Rotorua are welcome to join. Chess is a great way for kids to develop their minds, use their imagination, train their memory and reasoning skills and so much more. Of course, adults benefit in similar ways from this wonderful game. Bring your friends and come along on Sundays from 3 to 5 PM at the Yacht Club at the lakefront (1 Mataiawhea St, Ohinemutu). Want to play? You can have a friendly game against friends from your or different schools. Want to learn? You can enjoy a chess lesson at the club as well. Biscuits are available. Please bring a 5$ contribution. You don't know how to play chess but are interested in learning? Come along and we'll be more than happy to explain to you the very basics. Feel free to join our FB group at www.facebook.com...
Next club meetings are on Sunday 8 and 22 July.
Warm regards
Laurens Goormachtigh

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
