Rotorua Festival of Gardens

I am so looking forward to hosting Special Guest - NZ gardening writer, broadcaster, columnist and television presenter, Lynda Hallinan over the Rotorua Festival of Gardens weekend 15th to 17th November. She tells me she had a bit of a whoops and is in a moon boot but looking forward to visiting some of our fantastic Rotorua gardens as well.

Lynda's planned Schedule:

Friday, 15th 5.30pm - Te Runanga Tea Rooms. .Presenting Gourmet Gardening: from plot to pantry. An edible gardening session where she will be sharing tips for growing edibles & her favourite recipes & preserving methods. Entry is by Ticket Only.
Devonshire Teas will be available to purchase before and after the presentation (Western Heights High School fundraiser)

Saturday, 16th 8.30am - Palmers Garden Centre. Fresh ideas for your garden using the best new plants together with old favourites. Lear some tricks & techniques and some eco-friendly options for pest & disease control. FREE EVENT

Sunday, 17th 9am to 11am - Farmers Market, CBD. Want a signed copy of Lynda's latest book or have a question? Come on down.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
