Animal rescue charities or registered non profit organizations
Does any have any experience, know of anyone or has anyone ever had any interest in registering as a not for profit to help animals?
I have not been able to find any registered not for profit locally.
We have 1 small rescue locally run by a girl who is doing her very best but there is only so much one person can do, as you can imagine she is always full and at capacity funding majority from her own pocket and not registered which is always a requirement to try to apply for funding offered in wider nz.
I am almost positive everyone here has probably experienced problems with stray cats here in Rotorua, and absolutely nothing is in place here to help them (or people who are affected) or help control or stop the issue from continuing and growing.
A discussion that needs to happen and really needs solutions, I know we all have different opinions and thats okay, let's share them, throw ideas about, educate.
A conversation inspired by the helpless cats in Fairy Springs area.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
