Twill Felt Flower Workshop at Broadgreen House
Sunday 10-4 on 25 February 2024. Tutor Karuna Peralta.
During this one-day workshop you will be using wool blend felt sheets to make small felt flowers in beautiful colours, shapes and sizes.
Participants will be introduced to a variety of techniques to make different flower styles, including a small rose, sunflower, cosmos, daisy, pom-pom bud and leaves.
The workshop involves a mixture of hand cutting, stitching & glueing techniques. Card templates and some pre-cut shapes will also be provided.
Finished flower stems can be tied into a posy for a small vase arrangement. Loose flowers and leaves can be attached to a mini hoop wreath to decorate your home or to a brooch pin backing to wear on your coat, hat or bag.
Workshop is $120
Materials cost is $20 per person.
Complementary tea, coffee & snacks are available at the workshop. Please bring a packed lunch and water bottle. The Stoke shops/cafés are a short drive away if you need to purchase something.
Class size max 10 people. No previous experience necessary, just a willingness and openness to learn and explore.

What's your favourite tomato recipe?

If you've got a family recipe for tomatoes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine to share with our readers. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our February 2025 issue.
