Paddle for Pippy event to raise funds for cancer drugs
Keen to try your hand at paddling a waka? Members of the Katcha Whaea Waka Ama team will have waka on the water off Tāhunanui Beach on Saturday, December 4, that people can experience for a donation. The waka are a key attraction of a "Paddle for Pippy" event to raise funds for Nelson woman Philippa (Pip) Tavite, who has been diagnosed with bowel cancer. Food will also be available along with a Christmas hamper raffle, all for koha.
