Where is Rachel Boyack on Saturday mornings?

Jim from Enner Glynn

It's my habit to visit the Nelson Market most Saturdays and I recall that, for the 24 years when Nick Smith was MP, his dedication to the Nelson electorate was such that he was present in his caravan to meet constituents virtually every Saturday for all those years.

On my last six visits to the market I've seen Rachel Boyack's tent and observed an ever-changing selection of supporters lounging in their seats, evidently bored from the lack of public interest they're failing to attract - but not once have I seen Nelson's elected Labour MP among them.

If, for all those years, Nick Smith could render such an enormous commitment to Nelson, surely it behoves our newby parliamentary incumbent to at least try and show similar dedication to the electorate?

A common failing among Labour MPs is that while they constantly demonstrate their avidity and keen-ness for the otherwise unattainable perks of (their) holding office - they're considerably less dedicated to putting the time or the hard yards into their electorates.
