Mapua's Parking Problem - input to TDC needed before August 14
During the peak summer period the traffic and parking congestion in Mapua is a serious problem - for residents and visitors alike.
Just how bad is it? Have quick look at this short video clip I took on the day before New Years ….at least 300 vehicles bad – cars, campervans, tralier-boat rigs !!

I know many residents who just want it to go away …but it won’t. 4000 visitors a day over the summer with a peak of 10,000 . For better or worse, people and cars go together . Congestion definitely can reduce “value” created – both for visitors and for residents – but congestion can be managed.
If you have some ideas that might be helpful to the Council then make a submission before August 14. TDC has made the submission easy-as , with FreePost mailing and a well thought out set of considerations, options, reccommendations.
