The aim of this project is to develop a Master Plan for Mapua that sets out a long term strategic vision for the waterfront and adjacent areas.
It is expected that the Plan will address the complexity of the waterfront congestion / popularity / changes, as well as the broader Mapua issues, related to the increase of activity and public demand, focused on the coastal land and coastline at Mapua. The Master Plan will focus primarily on Council owned & Council owned remediated land; and how Council can accommodate the various and competing demands and community requested infrastructure and assets.
