Warning to properly dispose of fireplace ashes
A woman whose garden shed was burnt to the ground is warning others of the dangers of disposing hot ashes.
After disposing of the ashes in the compost, they caught alight, destroying a garden shed and valuables inside.
It is advised that to safely dispose of ash, it should be placed outside in a metal bucket and then hosed over with water. Read more here
