Bee swarm about to happen

Norman from Titahi Bay

I live in Patiki Place and have noticed today that there have been at least 2 dozen scout bees at my place (inside and out) looking for a new hive location which means that either tomorrow or the day after a swarm of bees will leave the cultivated hive in search of a new location. If you live in the Tuna Tce, Pikarere St, Titaki st, Mako Pl area and keep bees - bee aware (pun intended) that your hive is splitting. Bee swarms are nothing to be feared as they gorge themselves on honey before they leave the hive so unless you REALLY provoke them they will not sting. If they come my way I will box them for you but you have to give me a call on 0210700489 - Cheers Norman -
you probably don't want to lose them as they appear to be newish Italian stock from Nelson queens.
