The new Tawa brand!

Steph Knight from Tawa Residents' Association

Hi neighbours

Introducing the new Tawa!
A brand identity has been on the radar for a wee while now, but over the last few months there has been a lot of effort go into it.

This has been a joint effort between the Tawa Residents' Association, The Tawa Community Board and the Tawa Business Group.

We engaged local designers to provide concepts, and this was the one chosen. It is bright, dynamic, inclusive, strong yet simple. It includes the Tawa colours, it can be used in various formats, and you will see it popping up around Tawa.

Thanks so much to Dieter Fourie of DigitalTree for designing this and to Lynell Tuffery Huria from AJ Park for getting it registered for us this week!!

We are really proud of what we've come up with and super excited to use it!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.

The Hikoi on Tuesday 19th

Jeanette from Tawa

I copied this from a Facebook page: The expected route of the hīkoi on Tuesday is from Takapuwahia Maree in Esldon towards Porirua and along Kenepuru Drive to Tawa, then up Middleton Road to Johnsonville, down Ngaraunga George and along the old Hutt Road to Wellington. They are anticipating significant congestion on the roads between 06.00am and 12.30pm.
