Being in Level 2 means we can now get out and support our local hospitality services. It’s been a challenging time for many in this sector so it’s vital for these businesses to remain nimble and flexible. Wilson Barbecue is a restaurant and food truck business in Johnsonville that has employed a number of different digital strategies to keep growing. Gaining traction through social media with giveaways, influencers, and content - they’ve mastered the art of attracting customers online. As a small business, they’ve utilised a number of digital tools that are hospitality specific ensuring their business can operate smoothly in all areas. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
