Eat Drink and Be Crafty Fair
The popular annual Eat, Drink and Be Crafty fair is being held on Saturday, 26 January at Battle Hill Farm off Paekakariki Hill Rd, Pāuatahanui.
Hand-made crafts, artisan food and drink, and music and activities for all the family are on the cards for the popular annual event, hosted by Mana Lions.
The stallholders are mostly local, selling quality, locally-made goods, says Mana Lions Event Manager, Roger Watkin.
“The focus has always been on the family having a fun day out, where you can stroll around, enjoy the activities, buy some great products and have a picnic in a lovely rural setting,” he said.
“There’s a live band and plenty of room for dancing and relaxing.”
The craft stalls include hand-crafted jewellery, scented candles, clothing, hand-made cards, furniture, soaps and plants.
There’s also great coffee, a variety of food options and the chance for craft beer and wine tastings, Mr Watkin said.
Cellphone coverage in the area can be a problem, which in turns creates Eftpos issues, so it is recommended fairgoers bring cash. However, Mana Lions will be operating a limited Eftpos facility on the day so people can draw cash out.
There is plenty of parking with a gold coin fair admission donation that will go to Wellington Free Ambulance and local charities.
Battle Hill Farm is about 5km from Pāuatahanui Village. The fair runs from 10am to 4pm.
