The Three Altos - A Viola Spectacular
An evening of sublime music featuring three top international soloists. Russian-Italian violist extraordinaire, Anna Serova, will perform Boris Pigovat's exquisite "Poem of Dawn" and the world premiere of Roberto Molinelli's extraordinary "Lady Walton's Garden", rich with Argentinean flavour, rhythms and excitement - don't be surprised if it breaks into some tango dancing - anything is possible!
Roger Myers (USA) opens the programme with Schumann's enchanting "Fairy Tale Pictures" and Roger Benedict (Australia) closes with Walton’s viola concerto. In collaboration with our incredible NZSO this promises to be an unforgettable event and a New Zealand cultural highlight of the year.
Michael Fowler Centre 7.30pm, September 4, 2017.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
