Kapiti Chess Club is hosting FIDE International Chess Masters Russell Dive and Anthony Ker next Tuesday, 9th April. They are the current joint New Zealand chess champions. Anthony has been New Zealand Champion 14 times and Russell 6 times.

Last year they gave a similar coaching session before they departed for the Chess Olympiad in Batumi, Georgia, where they represented New Zealand. The presentation on Tuesday evening will feature analysis of favourite games from their experiences at the 2018 Olympiad.

This is a great opportunity to learn and be inspired by two of New Zealand’s best players.

The event, which is suitable for chess players of all levels, will be held at the Salvation Army (lower) Hall, Bluegum Road, Paraparaumu. The Event will commence at 7.30 and is open to all and free to attend.
