Alternative work Christmas party

Heather from Waikanae

Are you in charge of planning your work Christmas party and would like to do something a bit different from the usual boozy lunch?
How about a two hour ceramic workshop – a fun team bonding opportunity but also a mindful activity? What a great way to end the year!
Kapiti sculptor Storm Davenport can create a bespoke workshop for you so that each of your team members can create an original piece of art to keep or gift on for Christmas.
Come up with your own ideas or be inspired by past workshops - see some examples of gorgeous Christmas designs. Storm can come to your work place for larger groups, or she can host up to 8 in her Mahana Rd studio.
Get in touch to book in for a fun, festive get together your team won’t forget!
To find out more, or to book, see Storm's website (and be blown away by her awesome creations!)

Heirloom Tomatoes, Zucchini and Cucumber Plants at Waikanae and Otaki Markets

Val from Otaki District

Rain, wind and cold - just what these veggies don't like! However, better times are on the way and you can get a head start if you have a warm sheltered spot to nurture these seedings. They are coming along well in spite of the conditions.
We'll be at Waikanae tomorrow morning OR come see us at the massive Market and Camping Expo at Otaki on Sunday from 10.00am to 4.00pm. There will be a lot going on, plenty of entertainment and foodtrucks for sustenance, plus the usual array of quality stalls.
So came and check us out. Even if you are not ready to plant just yet, we can offer advice on varieties and cultivation. If you would like the full ;list of tomato varieties available, please PM me.
