How understanding property cycles can help your property decisions

Matt from Matt Wineera - Thats Real Estate with Matt Wineera

Buying low and selling high is the dream, but it's not always easy to predict property cycles and therefore difficult to “time the market". 🏡

The real key is the time you spend in the market. By understanding the phases—whether it's a slump, stagnation, or upswing—you can make more informed decisions. That said, there are certain advantages to buying during the slump and stagnation phases.

One major benefit of purchasing property during a downturn is that it often allows for more time and strategic decision-making.

On the other hand, buying during the later stages of an upswing can sometimes lead to irrational choices driven by the fear of missing out.

Always do your due diligence and stay within your budget!

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
