Floorball is a team event. It is fast paced with lots of short sprint running and breaks in between. It is fun to play and very easy to learn. If you have played Field Hockey, Tennis, Football or any other ball sport, you will quickly pick up Floorball as well. What is even better is the fact that it is played indoors. Rain or shine…you can play Floorball.
We play twice a week.
Wednesday nights from 7:30pm till about 8:45pm we have the older teens, youth and adults playing.
Sunday afternoons we have the kids from age about 6 and upwards playing from 3:45pm until about 5;00pm….
Cost of playing is $2.00 for those aged 17 or younger. Those aged 18 and older pay $5.00 per session.
We have equipment in the form of balls and sticks to play with so all you need is t-shirt, shorts and indoor sports shoes.
If you want to know more about Floorball, please contact us. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
Cheers

Sponsored by the Franklin Chess Club Pukekohe in conjunction with the New Zealand Chess Federation
I am Pleased to announce the Franklin Chess Club from Pukekohe will host the first ever Simultaneous Chess Exhibition by a Grandmaster in the Counties Region in the Franklin Centre 12 Massey Avenue Pukekohe with Chess Grandmaster Mr Dejan Bojkov from Bulgaria who had a peak FIDE rating of 2558 points he will be in NZ from the 5th to the 24th July.
By way of an explanation of the title Grandmaster (GM), this is a title awarded to chess players by the world chess organization FIDE Apart from title World Champion Grandmaster is the highest title a chess player can attain.
The title of Grandmaster, along with the lesser FIDE titles of International Master (IM) and FIDE Master (FM), is open to both men and women. In New Zealand we have only one NZ Born Grandmaster, Mr Murray Chandler. In August 2018 there were 1621 Grandmasters in the world.
At our Simultaneous Exhibition Grandmaster Bojkov will play 25 different players at the same time, he will make the first move against each of the 25 players (as is normal practice in a Simul Grandmaster Bojkov will have white in all Games) he will then continue to circulate around the same 25 players until all 25 games are finished
If I have more than 25 players that want to play Grandmaster Bojkov I will draw the names out of a hat on the day. There are Simul etiquette rules which we will follow I will explain those to the 25 players and interested parties as a Group on the day.
Of course, anyone can attend spectators are more than Welcome. Franklin Chess Club members will be on site to provide information
Mr Bojkov is a professional Chess Player that is his job so of course there is a cost involved which is $15 per person to play him all money goes to Mr Bojkov all other Event expenses are paid by the Franklin Chess Club, nevertheless that is a bargain ,don`t miss out!
If you want to be one of the 25 Very Lucky people to play Grandmaster Bojkov reply to me here or email me on
ron-lanning@xtra.co.nz .Remember this will probably be the only time in your life to see a Chess Grandmaster “in the flesh “let alone have the opportunity to play one !
I will confirm the time and date once I have those details.
Hope to see as many as possible there.
Regards
Ron Lanning
