Overseas Cheques

Debra from Milson

For information for others. As of the middle to the end of 2024 there will only be one Bank in New Zealand accepting Overseas cheques. ANZ will stop receiving them in March 2024. TSB have said if we wish to drive the 2 hours to Wellington (they have just closed our branch in Palmerston North) we can deposit it with them. The Banking Ombudsman have said there is nothing they can do to help as it is a commercial decision. This will affect anyone who gets an overseas pension by cheque. This may also affect anyone who has family overseas who wishes to send them money in the form of a cheque.

Poll: Should drivers retake the theory test every 10 years?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Drivers get where they need to go, but sometimes it seems that we are all abiding by different road rules (for example, the varying ways drivers indicate around a roundabout).
Do you think drivers should be required to take a quick driving theory test every 10 years?

Vote in the poll and share any road rules that you've seen bent! 😱
