Come and view the historic Caccia Birch House in Palmerston North and the beautiful grounds that surround it on the 4th of November from 12pm until 4pm.

The Coach House will be open displaying the history archives throughout the old stables.

Stroll through the beautiful gardens and grounds, enjoying the spring flowers and birds and wonderful views over Hokowhitu Lagoon.

We are looking forward to an entertaining spectacle from Future's Past Steampunk members, who will demonstrate teapot races and parasol dueling to the sounds of the ukulele group 'The Strumpettes'

Feel free to bring along a picnic, settle on the large lawn out the front of the house, chill out and enjoy the ambiance - and hopefully some sunshine!

Extensive care has been put into the preservation of the buildings - so we love to share the experience of yesteryear with visitors

We are open to the public and entry is free - we look forward to seeing you there!

Mobile phones, keys, tennis balls, wallets, toys, a boomerang, even a set of false teeth – you name it and it’s likely to have turned up at the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Over the years, they've built up quite a collection of objects, and visitors always find this one of the most interesting things to see when they visit the plant. People’s mouths literally drop open when they see some of the larger objects, such as bricks and rocks that have passed through.

Palmerston North is gearing up for the biggest city council project ever undertaken – new and improved management of its wastewater.

With an estimated budget of $128.8 million, the project dubbed "Nature Calls" has a deadline of June 2022 to put a proposal to Horizons Regional Council for resource consent for a new scheme.

A public open day is being held at the Wastewater Treatment Plan on Saturday 3 November. Guided tours around the plant will run between 10am and 4pm.

An information tent will allow people to speak with the team about the City’s future wastewater options. There are limited numbers for the tours and bookings are required. Bookings can be made here

Hi neighbours! I’ve just launched my new page ‘Kaydee Jean: Sustainable Queen’ - sharing my family’s adventures and misadventures as we delve further down the sustainable lifestyle then we ever have before!

m.facebook.com...

Please pop over and check out some of the ways we are earnestly (and not always successfully) attempting to live a slower, natural and simple life. I’m sharing recipes, simple swaps, great products, advice, cautionary tales and other goodies. Workshops coming up just in time to make some homemade with love Xmas treats.

Would be great to see you there!

This is very easily done with rebates on rates, refuge collection etc and would of course reduce the carbon footprint of any business and/or community. If not I would love to know why not. I would love to hear your feedback, I know schools are always trying to set an example to their pupils, does the Council strive to do that too?
I would love to hear about you if your business does actively recycle as I personally would like to support you when and if I can!
