Book shop volunteer
This opportunity is a great fit for volunteers who are able to work well in a team and follow instructions, have a love of books, are honest, cheerful and happy to work with the public.
Palmerston North shop has two volunteer shifts each weekday, 10am to 1pm and 1pm to 4pm.
Saturday shift is from 10am to 1pm.
You can do regular shifts, or casual shifts to fill in for when people are away.
There is always more than one volunteer per shift.
Volunteers need to have money handling skills.
Retail experience is preferred but not necessary as we will give training to new volunteers.

Manawatu Guardian to cease publishing 😔
Sad news that the Manawatu Guardian newspaper is finishing up this month. It’s actually the only newspaper I read faithfully every week! I’d be happy to pay a small subscription to keep it going; hopefully if enough people feel the same, it would have a chance.
