The Look Out! Handy Events & Entertainment Guide

Richard from Awapuni

The Look Out! Arts & Entertainment Guide celebrates what is, in theory, the last week and a bit of winter, with spring already emerging. The NZ International Film Festival opens at Event Cinemas, while it's the last week to see the excellent 'Niu Sila' @ Centrepoint, 'Les Mis @ RoB, and 'Home Land' in Foxton. Friday is National Poetry Day, and the Spring Orchid Show is on in the Community Leisure Centre this weekend. Fill yer boots!

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
