The good old days π
Hi all, I was listening to a talkback station last night, and the conversation got me thinking about some of the great places that used to be around, such as the good old fashioned tea rooms. There were so many in Palmy, nothing quite like them now. Does anyone remember these and a place called Cone and Candy on the corner of Princess and Broadway. Some of the tea rooms I remember were Betsy Lee, Upstairs Downstairs, the little one next to the Regent, (can't remember it's name) The Loft in Broadway Mall, Stafford Arcade, Wedgewood Lounge in DIC and PDC and the tea rooms in the store McKenzie's. Just some reminiscing for you. What great times. I really miss those tea rooms with the great food and remember before these fancy coffees, the coffee they used to have in the percolator with whipped cream, yum yum! Would love to hear your memories too. Have a great day everyone π
