Last week we used the plastic tubs for both St Matthews and Te Tihi orders rather than plastic bags. The packers loved it and I think the customers did too-plus as far as I know everyone bought their own bags to pack their produce into from the tubs. Yes it is still using plastic but these tubs are sturdy and with good care should last us a long time.
Our last pick up for 2018 will be in two weeks time on December 20. We would appreciate your feedback on our restart date in January. We are governed to a certain extent by what other hubs are doing around the country. However if you could give feedback on whether you would choose to restart on 17 or 24 January that may help our case for starting earlier than is proposed by Auckland. All replies before Thursday this week will go in a lucky draw for a $20 order.
If you want to order for this week now please use the attached link foodtogether.co.nz.... Otherwise remember to order by Tuesday midday.
We want to know if there are any issues with ordering or pick up including if the produce is not up to standard. We do our best to quality control on packing but sometimes things slip past us and we are only alerted by customers telling us.
Do you ever look at our Facebook or Neighbourly posts showing the photos that we take of what last weeks order looks like? If you have friends or family who are curious about Food Together that is a good way to show them what you are getting in your order.
Small electrical job
I have a ceramic lamp base that I’d like to be made in to a lamp. Anyone out there that can do the job?
Thank you!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
