Heirloom Tomato Plants and Other Vegetables

Over 45 different varieties of heirloom tomatoes available at Waikanae Market Saturday morning (look out for our signage along Park Road )and Otaki on Sunday - weather permitting. Please pm me if you would like the full list of tomato varieites or if you would like to purchase.
Other vegie plants this week include zucchini, pumpkin, kumi kumi, cucumber, capsicum, basil and kumara.
Heirloom tomatoes are those which have stood the test of time and have superior taste (and often greater health benefits) than those commercially grown for the supermarkets. Some have been around for literally hundreds of years.
Large well-grown plants ready to plant now the ground has finally warmed up a bit.
A range of colours and sizes to suit every use, from salads and salsas to preserves and pickles.

Tomatoes: $3.00 each, some specials at $1.50. Other plants as marked.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)

Food Recall: Equal brand European Dark Chocolate

A specific batch of Equal brand European Dark Chocolate is being recalled due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (milk).

People with a milk allergy or intolerance should not consume this product. If you are not allergic or intolerant to milk, this recall does not affect you.
