Do you know someone who deserves a Taranaki Regional Council environmental award?
If you’re school student, farmer, big business, iwi or hapū, conservation group or an individual committed to helping our environment, the Taranaki Regional Council wants to hear about it and celebrate your success.
Nominations for the Taranaki Regional Council Environmental Awards are open until Friday 19 July. To nominate yourself or someone else for an award go to https://www.trc.govt.nz/environmental-awards/
There are five award categories:
• Environmental leadership in business, sponsored by Govett Quilliam.
• Environmental leadership in dairy farming, sponsored by Fonterra.
• Environmental leadership in land management, sponsored by Corteva Agriscience.
• Environmental action in the community, sponsored by Methanex.
• Environmental action in education, sponsored by Contact Energy.

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
