Planting Day - Battle for the Banded Rail

Cally Stockdale from Nelson Tasman Climate Forum

Battle for the Banded Rail has a planting day this Sunday, 25th July, 9am - 1pm at 42 & 43 Apple Valley Road East (Matahua Peninsula). Please park roadside from the crest of the hill down. Take care to park facing downhill if you need to park partly on the grass (wet ground).

Bring gardening gloves, sturdy shoes/boots, a narrow-bladed spade if you have one, and drinking water. Morning tea will be provided. All volunteers are welcome and there are jobs other than digging.

We’ll go ahead unless it’s raining hard or stormy. If you don’t get an email by 8:00 on Sunday morning, we’re already there setting up 😊.

Want more info or cancellation notice? Email: bandedrail@gmail.com

Our next planting day is Sunday 1st of August at Mapua Embayment.
