Mayday Rally for Travel Justice
There is a climate crisis
There is a fuel crisis
This is the tipping point
We want to walk and cycle whenever possible, but its not safe. Cars have grown in size, speed and number.
Many parents are afraid to let their children walk or cycle - adding to the dangerous traffic congestion around school entrances.
What needs to change for us to feel safe?
We need a fairer allocation of space on our streets as we address the climate and fuel crises
Lets Rally for Travel Justice
Sunday May 1 at 1pm gather at the I-site
Walk/Cycle to Church steps for 1.30
Bring details of your 'black spots' and we'll record them on a map at the Church Steps.
We'll take the map to Council asking for the infrastructure changes we need.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
