Sands Takeaways Fleecing the Public- BE-AWARE
We tried this shop again and after waiting over twice as long as we were told the order would take. Then there is the price of the products which when you place an order you expect to at least get what you paid for, but know items missing. Then we requested to have the fish crumbed instead of battered, told no problem but as we found out later at a cost of one dollar a piece extra all other fish and chip shops we have been to. In the past few months only charge fifty cents. Then we ordered two oysters. These had been cut in half and barely larger than a twenty cent piece and not much thicker and costing 3.90 each, when I ordered them the cashier said they were of good size, it proved definitely not . Next the order of chips was barely enough for one person, definitely only half of what we received recently when we ordered the same amount. Then there was quality of the meal, very over cooked, chips overdone, fish cooked overcooked and dry, oysters overdone to become hard/crunchy. And don’t forget the missing item not supplied. No we didn’t return to complain because the distance to travel and timing didn’t allow and as it is the third time we have had items not supplied in our order at this same shop and over cooking to where there fish is dry.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
