All proceeds will go directly to the Women's Centre, helping them continue their essential services for our community. As you know, The Nelson Women's Centre, Te Whare Āwhina Mō Ngā Wāhine Puawai, is a vital support hub for women and non-binary people in the Nelson Whakatu community. The centre offers affordable counselling, workshops, and a safe space for connection and growth. However, our funding crisis has recently forced us to pause some essential services.

To help us continue providing these crucial resources, local volunteers are organising fundraising events like this one. These initiatives aim to ensure that the centre can keep its doors open and its services accessible to those who need them most. Your support can make a significant impact on the lives of many in our community. Join us in uplifting the women of Nelson Whakatu by supporting this worthy cause!

We hope to see you there!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
