Amnesty International - Write for Rights

CHANGE OF ROOM AT NMIT
Amnesty International’s annual "Write for Rights" face-to-face letter writing event: 2pm to 5pm on Saturday, 10 December at NMIT, now in room K205.

As weekend access is restricted, organisers will let attendees in at 2pm at the Alton Street entry door (we will have our banner out on the pavement). The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
