Daisy Dives for Dementia - Alzheimer's Awareness month
Here we go again! Driving Miss Daisy Nelson are participating in ANOTHER Daisy Dives for Dementia!
September is World Alzheimer's Month and we are getting together to raise awareness around what is means to live with this disease, and the daily struggles people are faced with. We deal daily with people affected by dementia, so we are combining forces to raise funds for Alzheimer's Society Nelson with a skydive marking Alzheimer's Awareness month.
So far the diving squad consists of Tracey from Nelson West, Harry from Nelson East, and Rhys who floats between both franchises, along with our business guru John Hopkins.
You can support this cause by heading to givealittle.co.nz... and donating what you can!
And if you want to be super- supportive, it's not too late to join the 'diving squad'!
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
