In the heart of the lodge is a spacious, recently renovated farmhouse kitchen enjoying garden and orchard views. A large woodburner with wetback heats the water for a series of radiators around the house, ensuring year-round warmth.
Organically managed, the four-hectare property provides the ability to live from the land with honey, fruit trees, berry patches, vegetable gardens, olives and grazing for sheep, cattle and horses. I am looking into building a tiny home soon and just wanting to scan the horizon for possibilities to lease (long term) around Nelson region (preferably city or north). Does anyone have a space on their land and would welcome me and my tiny home ? I am a fit 50+ , respectful quiet and very handy, great with animals all shapes and sizes, love nature and growing things. I have been house sitting for the last 2 and a half years; and now I am ready to have my own space and a tiny is just the right size for me. I am conscious of the impact that conventional building has on the environment and would like to be on wheels and use recycled materials as much as possible. I don't need to own my own land rather share the fun and contact with like minded..
I know there has been some discussions in the media about the legalities around them. I am happy to work with council to get everything approved. I am looking forward to your responses. Kindly Marianne
