Permanent chlorination possible for town's water supply. What are your thoughts?
Chlorination of the Richmond water supply may work out cheaper than keeping it free of the chemical, according to Tasman District Council.
A report states that "chlorination of the Richmond water supply is an effective way to prevent re-contamination of the network. Turning the supply on and off results in significant staff and contractor costs and resourcing issues".
What do you think? Is this an effective way to manage water contamination risks?
