The Seekers - Judith Durham has passed away at age 79

Rhonda Neighbourly Lead from Hastings Central

'The Seekers' Judith Durham has died at age 79.
I have written this compilation in the form of a poem to honour Judith Durham.
I hope you enjoy a blast from the past.

Hey there Georgie Girl,
Are you going on a morning town ride
When the stars begin to fall with
Chilly Winds, Wild Ride and
Red Rubber Ball

The light from the lighthouse
Colours my life
Love is kind, and love is wine
Keep a dream in your pocket and
Whiskey in the jar repeating the words
We shall not be moved

When will good apples fall?
Some day, one day, even
If I had a hammer and
Five hundred miles
I'll never find another you
The Carnival is officially over so
To everything, turn, turn, turn

You can read about her and her lovely group giving her tributes with the link below. The photos are sourced from the article in this link. Credit is given to the photographers in the small print.

🔥 These Riddles Are So Good, They’ll Scramble Your Synapses! 🤯

Riddler from The Neighbourly Riddler

I’m a bird that sadly cannot fly;
I roam the night and stay shy;
I’m a national symbol, you see—
Who am I, representing you and me?

Do you think you know the answer? Simply 'Like' this post if you know the answer and the big reveal will be posted in the comments at 2pm on the day!

What does ANZAC day mean to you?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

ANZAC Day is a time to reflect, remember, and honour those who served.

It’s also a powerful reminder of the impact of war and the courage of those who stood for something greater than themselves.

We're interested to hear what ANZAC Day means to you and your whānau, and about any special traditions you follow each year.

Perhaps you have a loved one who served? If you feel comfortable, we’d love for you to share their story here with us.
