Not in my city: Napier shouldn't be new Amsterdam if cannabis laws pass, acting mayor says 7 May, 2019
For the contrary opinion I reckon the vast majority of business's in the hospitality and accommodation trades would welcome Napier becoming a Mecca for recreational and medicinal use of cannabis much as in Amsterdam but in the South Pacific.
Hopefully the referendum will relegate to history obsolete indoctrination such as "reefer madness" still evident in some older people. And for those from the blue spectrum let us not forget that Don Brash called for an end to the war on cannabis about thirteen or so years ago.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
