Brothers In Arms To Do Battle At National Final
Napier Repertory Players TheatreFest entry “Brothers In Arms” has been confirmed to compete in the National Final.
John Cockings “Brothers In Arms”, directed by Sharyn Hildreth will now compete in the National Final to be held at Te Whaea: National Dance and Drama Centre in Wellington on Saturday 15 & Sunday 16 September 2018.
Based on actual events, and with inspiration for characters drawn from his childhood growing up in Northern England, “Brothers In Arms” is an intriguing tale of bravery, sacrifice, and conflict.
Napier Repertory Players will also present “Brothers In Arms” as part of the Studio Production programme during their celebration of New Zealand Theatre Month between 4-8 September along with “An Unseasonable Fall Of Snow”, a compelling investigation of truth and consequences and the value of human life directed by Monique Cowern.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
