Hawke's Bay Show

Denise from Marewa

Today, the Hawke’s Bay A&P Society are extremely pleased and excited to announce that the A&P Show hosted in Hastings will be going ahead in October 2020.

The Covid crisis nearly threatened the event proceeding, but with support from local and central government, alongside the Societies family of sponsors and volunteers, who are the backbone of the organisation, we have the confidence to proceed, albeit with changes to both the Society and the event.

The biggest change is that the Royal status of the Show will be placed on hold for a year with the RAS’s blessing, and the three-day scheduled will be reduced to two days.

We are excited to announce the Show will go on!

Thursday 22 - Friday 23 October 2020

Key dates for you to note:
Competition Entries Open - 1 August 2020
Competition Entries Close - 30 September 2020
Show Days - 22/23 October 2020

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
