Cardoon Plants
What is a Cardoon Plant
The cardoon, Cynara cardunculus, also called the artichoke thistle, is a thistle in the sunflower family. It is a naturally occurring species that also has many cultivated forms, including the globe artichoke.
I have around 12 plants for sale ready to be planted. They look fantastic along a fenceline, they grow from 1 metre to two metres high and produce a gorgeous purple thistle like flower that looks a bit like an artichoke. The stalks are edible and can been cooked in stews, fritters, you name it. Lots of recipes online.
$5 per potted plant ready to plant out or put in a large pot.
