Police hunting for stolen Mercedes and ten firearms
Ten firearms and a late model Mercedes worth $100,000 have been stolen from a Hawke's Bay property.
The car, a silver 2014 Mercedes Benz E 250 vehicle was taken from the Taradale property over the weekend of July 14 and 15. Also stolen from the address were 10 firearms.
Detective Amy Renall said a team of officers was working on tracking them down. "Someone is going to see that car somewhere. Someone is going to show-off and talk about driving around in this incredibly flash Mercedes," Renall said.
Renall said anyone who sees the car should call 111 or contact Renall at amy.renall@police.govt.nz.
