No more parking allowed in this popular destination
Former Napier railways land off Munroe Street is no longer a destination for free parking at the site will now be ready for the development of a new shopping centre.
The Council have removed time limits from several areas around the CBD, making at least 100 spaces available for those working in the inner city to park all day, areas include; the western side of Munroe St, including the development site frontage, parts of Station and Bower streets and Wellesley Rd, Emerson St through Clive Square, and Tiffen East car park.
The parking fee in Vautier St will also be set at $1 an hour as part of the strategy.
