Do you want to learn how to reduce the effects of osteoporosis or are you an athlete who wants to learn more about the female athlete triad?

Sport and exercise lecturer and champion runner Tracey Clissold is presenting two talks as a fundrasier tomorrow, Friday 4th May at the Pettigrew Green Arena. Tracey’s message is for anyone concerned with long term good health, whether you're an athlete or not.

The Women's Bone Health talk starts at 5.30pm and Tracy will discuss simple lifestyle modifications you can make to help reduce the risk of getting osteoporosis. Tickets available on Eventbrite: bit.ly...

The Fuelling the Fitness Freak talk starts at 7.30pm and Tracy will cover nutrition planning for before, during and after events, basic nutrient needs and common deficiencies in athletes. Tickets available on Eventbrite: bit.ly...

Tickets are just $20 per talk and proceeds go to the USANA True Health Foundation which supports KidsCan here in NZ. Cash door sales and raffles available on the night.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
