Free fire wood piles

Communications from Hastings District Council

Council is putting rings of firewood in three piles (one in Hastings, Flaxmere and Havelock North). Residents can help themselves but they need to take the rings home to chop up: No chainsaws or axes on the sites please. There won't always be wood there - it will be dropped off as it comes available. The three sites are: Flaxmere: Chatham Rd, by the gum trees; Havelock North: on the edge of Tainui Reserve, on Keirunga Rd; Hastings: Splash Planet car park; Grove Rd.
