Primary School Maths and Science?
The most damning report ever out on the maths and science achievement levels of our primary/intermediate school students. Sadly we see this every day, regardless of the reasons (and there are many very obvious ones), the simple facts are, kids are missing out. This report confirms our experience; very few students entering high school are at the expected level in maths and most have done hardly any science. At FOCUS, we offer teacher led programmes to try and ensure our students have the base skills expected for Y9 in maths and in written language. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
