There is a new Craft Group starting up at the beginning of term three
Hi All.
I am starting up a new craft group beginning on Friday 28 July (first week of term 3)
This group will run every Friday morning from 10-30 - 12.30 I anticipate that the craft session itself will run for approximately 1.5 hours with the option for people to stick around 12-12.30 for a shared cuppa which will be provided.
Each week I will be providing a craft project for people to do or people are welcome to bring their own and just enjoy having some company.
The group will be held at Trinity Methodist church meeting room - The front of the church is on the town side of clive square - 32 Clive Square East. The meeting room we will be using is behind the church and will be signposted. It can be accessed either up the driveway alongside the church (private leased parking to the real estate company) or through the clearance shed carpark. Sadly the room is not wheelchair accessible - it has a couple of stairs leading up into it. Tea / coffee making facilities and toilets are onsite.
The cost of each session will be a gold coin koha towards the cost of resources for the group.
Please message me for further information and to let me know if you would like to attend as numbers will be limited.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.

85.5% Yes

13.4% No

1.1% Other - I'll share below
