Shed's scooters for kids success
A little bit of elbow grease can go a long way, including transforming a fleet of scooters for kids.
When Napier's Sk8 Zone closed earlier this year its collection of rental scooters was donated to the Napier Menzshed.
Over the next two months club member Peter Bates spent hours repairing, sanding and painting the 39 scooters and last week donated them to five Napier schools.
Te Awa, Richmond, Henry Hill, Maraenui and Marewa schools all received a share.
Here is a picture of the principals testing out their student's new toys.
