How To Be Inarguable

Alister from South Dunedin

People often love to weigh in on our choices & decisions. I have always trusted my gut or intuition. Those close to us can convince us that we need to justify our decisions to them using logic however this can be a downward spiral of crazy-making-ness 😖. Yes I made that word up just then 😁🤩. If you know in your heart ❤ that something is right for you and you say you are doing it because that is how you feel - no-one can say that's wrong. Because that IS how you feel. If we let logic in on our "higher self" it can talk us out of anything... just because it can. It doesn't know what is right for us. Our higher self/universe/god does - tap in, listen, believe, receive.

Suellen’s sweet Christmas tradition

Frances Hodgkins Retirement Village

The festive season is always a great excuse to indulge your sweet tooth, and this time of year poses the perfect opportunity to bring a real showstopper to the Christmas table.

For Suellen’s family, that showstopper is Croquembouche, an impressive tower of cream puffs bound together with spun sugar that is popular at weddings in France and Italy.

What began as a birthday treat at a local French café has become a cherished Christmas tradition for Suellen and her 17-year-old twin granddaughters, Ellie and Sadie. Every year, the trio gather in Suellen’s apartment at William Sanders Village to cook this festive dessert - a holiday highlight they all treasure.
